Audemars Piguet 25718PT 'Jules Audemars Skeleton Tourbillon'
Long before the Royal Oak defined its modern identity, Audemars Piguet was celebrated for refined, highly complicated dress watches. The Jules Audemars line reflects that tradition.

Introduced in 1991, the reference 25718 was ahead of its time. It marked the world’s first self-winding tourbillon wristwatch combined with both a date and power reserve. Its 39 mm case was considered oversized in the early 1990s, subtly anticipating the shift in proportions that would follow.

This example, produced in 1994, is the rare platinum variant. The convex bezel and teardrop lugs maintain classical elegance, while the crown positioned on the case back preserves the purity of the case profile. Instead of the more common ivory dial, this 25718PT features a transparent sapphire dial, offering an unobstructed view of the movement and its one-minute tourbillon at six o’clock.

Produced in very small numbers, the 25718 remains one of the more understated yet important complications of its era. This watch is presented in excellent condition, accompanied by an Extract from the Archives, and comes on a black Audemars Piguet alligator strap.
